Favorite little things...

I don't always do these, but my sister-in-law Raya tagged me to make a list of six "unimportant" things that make me happy. At least I think she tagged me, maybe she knows someone else named Tressa, how embarrassing! I'm pretty sure its me, though. Anyways, I agree with her, if something makes you happy, no matter the size, it is important so here is my list...

1. Anytime Jesse rubs my calf's, it instantly relaxes me and makes me feel special every time!

2. Right now, watching So You Think You Can Dance. Seems dumb that a TV show can make you that happy, but dance is the one thing I always wish I had been able to do. Especially now, I have to live vicariously through others.

3. When Peyton gives me random hugs or kisses because it does not happen that often. Or when he sings me random songs.

4. Getting invited out, even if I can't go now, it is still nice to be thought of.

5. Eating, in general, and especially a good meal or treat that I made.

6. Finishing a scrapbook page, doesn't happen right now but normally it feels like an important accomplishment even though it really isn't.

Now I am supposed to tag six people, but I don't know if I have six other bloggers who read my blog so I tag everyone that reads mine, including but not limited to Heidi, Staci, Mom, Clarissa, Alesha (just do it on your facebook), Susie and again anyone else who stumbles across here.

What a MANLY apron!

Since I am always striving to eat healthy and get my required nutrients, oh no wait, I don't do any of that. Ok, because I never strive to eat my required nutrients, and neither does Jesse or Peyton (I know my bad!) Jesse and I finally decided now was the time to get a juicer. We always thought it would be cool to have, but it was a future purchase. However, when you can't sleep at four in the morning, your only real option is infomercials and they'll get you every time. Getting it during the summer was definitely a good idea because we always have left over fruits and veggies. So far we haven't done too many strange things, but when we do juice it is kind of messy so Jesse wears his apron and I thought it was so something I wanted to remember. At least it is a man's apron. Here's to getting our required vitamins at least once a week!

Jesse is trying to flex here while peeling the mango, it didn't make him look any more macho though.

My big little boy

P in his first suit! What a little man. Check out his super cool shoes, apparently I need to get him some dress shoes.

This past Friday, Peyton had his two year check up (I know, it is a little late, but not too bad for me!) Mom was nice enough to take him in for me so she had to deal with doctor office Peyton, he's not usually too unruly. He has finally started growing so I didn't get in trouble for that this time. The measurements came in at; weight 25 lbs. (14%), height 34 1/2 in. (47%), and head 19 in. (37%). Now that he is climbing up in weight I don't feel like such a bad mom, like I am starving my child or something. Of course, he still looks skinny, but he is not an unhealthy weight anymore. You can really tell he is growing up, every once in awhile. Sometimes we can get him to give "Baby brother" kisses and hugs, but then other times he pulls down my shirt or head butts him. Still don't think he really has any idea whats in there, but its cute to watch. Which, by the way, we still don't have a name. Our short list is now, Brady, Landon, Logan, Tyler, and Trent. I don't even know if I like all those. We'll see.

Check up...with a bonus!

Yesterday was yet another doctor's checkup for baby no name. As always, everything is fine. Measurements, heartbeat, blood pressure, pee, all good. Even my weight is staying down. I am still at 186, which is small for me, and I will be so pumped if I stay under 200! Of course, know I am worried that I am going to have the world's largest baby since he is already trying to bust out. Plus, maybe that is where all the food is going.

Since I already had to leave the house, we decided to get some lunch at Olive Garden and invite Melia and Erica. Now that we don't see each other very often, we have to start doing grown up things like going out to lunch, just to catch up. Four adults and three kids makes for a very crowded table and luckily they were not very busy, but they did keep us secluded in our own corner. It was Isabell's b-day but apparently our waitress didn't feel that warranted any dessert or song for her, oh well. Unfortunately, it was not my best lunch there, the company was nice though. We had a few attempts at an escape (Izzy) and quite a few things thrown on the floor, but we made it through lunch. I don't know what I was thinking because I forgot to get any pics of us at lunch, dumb me. There are a few stories I wanted to make sure I got recorded, though, so I don't forget them.

Izzy got a baby doll for her birthday and she packs it everywhere. On the way over to the restaurant, Peyton took it from her and Melia made him give it back and apologize. Then Izzy handed it to him, he said Thanks and then handed her is water cup. It was so cute. They continued to share things back and forth.

Also on the way over, any sound Izzy made, Peyton made the same noise. He copied her until it unfortunately turned into a squeal off. Only cute for a few seconds.

Lastly, I just love how excited Peyton gets whenever he sees Izzy or Madison for the first time. When we went into Olive Garden he ran up to Madison, smiled, and started tickling her. Adorable!

The only pictures I did manage to take were of P at the play place at the mall. Luckily, it was not crowded so there were no major injuries or incidents. This boy did keep wanting to get in the car with Peyton, but P did not like that.

Remodel, finally

When Spencer and Melia got all moved out, oh over a month ago, Jesse and I decided to make a few changes to the room and bathroom. I really like designing and redecorating, but I have never really had any thing I could make over. Of course, I didn't get to do everything I wanted, because of either money or we didn't want to do that much work on something we weren't staying in, but the results were still positive. Before, the bathroom was a little nasty and it definitely needed the most work.

In there, we painted, put in new floors, a new toilet, painted the vanity and redid the counter top, changed the mirror, cleaned the shower really well, and then accessorized.

I am really happy with the way it turned, it is very sophisticated looking and relaxing. The bedroom before sort of looked like a bunch of paint threw up on the walls. Melia loved it, as did Dad, but it wasn't quite our style.

In there, we painted, hung up drapes, got new bedding and a bench, and cleaned everything.

We didn't do as much actual work in there, but it really looks different. I am also happy with the result in there, very different from anything we had ever had. Mostly, it was just really fun to come up with these concepts for the room, plan everything out, and then see a dramatic change. Oh, if I could just get my hands on the rest of the house!
